Anu Natarajan, Urban Planner
Anu is an urban planner who believes in connecting the dots between land use, housing, mobility, infrastructure, and climate – powered by civic engagement. She thrives on public policy and its intersection with politics. She served 10 years on Fremont’s City Council, and she is an active board member for StopWaste, the Greenbelt Alliance, and other groups that address community needs.

Darryl McAllister, Retired Police Chief
Darryl served 37 years in policing, including five years as chief of police in Union City. He is nationally recognized for his innovative approaches to community policing. His legacy focuses on redefining the importance of police-community engagement to promote trust and transparency. He teaches at Chabot College, and he also runs an esteemed statewide program for the development of police executives. He currently serves as Director of Safety & Security for Pixar-Disney.

Ken Pon, Accountant
Ken is a CPA based out of San Leandro. He is a Rotarian, and he serves on the board of several nonprofit organizations. He has been a Planning Commissioner for the City of San Leandro and he served eight years as a trustee San Leandro Unified School District, also serving as its president in for one year.

Jaime Jaramillo, Executive Director– Centro de Servicios
Jaime has served as the Executive Director of Centro de Servicios—a social services agency located in Union City. For nearly 25 years under Jaime’s leadership, Centro de Servicios has served countless low-income families with support in a variety of ways, including providing desperately needed food and other life-sustaining essentials.

Gary Singh, Business Owner and City Councilmember
Gary is the owner of BayStar Automotive in Union City, and he also serves on the City Council of Union City. He is a leader in the Friends of Sister Cities organization and participates in many community activities.

Kara Lee, Event Planner and Business Owner
Kara works in event management and she founded Aspire Events, through which she assists nonprofit organizations with event planning and fundraising. She focuses her community efforts on food access, youth education, and health organizations.

Melissa Wilk, Auditor-Controller
Elected as the first woman Auditor-Controller/Clerk-Recorder for Alameda County, Melissa is responsible for the controlling, auditing, and reporting of Alameda County’s $3.5 billion budget. She holds two Master’s degrees and a Non-Profit Management certificate.

Lance Nishihira, Cofounder & President
Lance is the president and cofounder of Daily Bowl, and he served as a technology designer and executive for nearly 30 years. He is passionate about education and community issues. He currently serves as a member of the New Haven Unified School District Board of Trustees.

Cindi Napoli-Abella Reiss, College Trustee
Cindi has spent the past twenty-five years in higher education. She dedicates her time on boards and organizations focused on at-risk youth, the arts, community transformation, and educational advocacy. She is currently a Trustee for the Peralta Community College District.

Sara Lamnin, Parks District Director
Sara Lamnin has spent 25 years working with and for healthcare and social service agencies. Most recently, she worked on addressing homelessness. She served 4 ½ years as a planning commissioner in the city of Hayward, and 8 ½ years as a member of the Hayward City Council. She now serves on the Board of Directors of the Hayward Area Parks District.
